More Reasons to order Early with Corson Maize:

Davin Mudford's Story - Resilience

"They have been so reliable in all the different conditions that we see happening these days... I can always rely on their hybrids, and I can always rely on their team, Maria looks after me really well."

Davin's journey traces back five decades when Davin Mudford's family delved into precision-cut maize silage in 1974, discovering its potential to benefit their farm in Otorohanga, Waikato. Following his father's untimely passing when Davin was just ten, his mother, Gwenda, took the reins, expanding their farming endeavours amidst challenges. Over the years, they navigated dairy industry hardships, Davin's entrepreneurial spirit soared, leading him to found HeliA1, a thriving helicopter business, alongside his on-farm contracting ventures. Throughout his journey, Davin's commitment to maize grew, supported in part by Corson Maize hybrids' resilience and resistance to leaf disease as pivotal to his farming success.

Harvesting Growth - Bill Reymer's Story - Yield

"We like their drought tolerance and their staygreen. When we’re really under the pump and we’ve got to do our customers' work, we know our maize can stand there for another week if it has to" - Chris Reymer

Reymer Ag Contracting owned by Bill and Lyn and sons Mike and Chris, grow their own 700 ha of maize for trade and contract harvest for other farmers around the Waipa district. You could say maize is in their blood - they really know maize and understand specifically what farmers are looking for in terms of hybrid performance. The balancing act between harvesting their own maize and prioritising the needs of their farmer customers is key to their business. That’s where Corson Maize comes in. As well as high yields, Corson hybrids’ drought tolerance and the ability to stay green for longer means their own crops ‘have the ability to hold on’ while they meet the demands of peak harvest with their customers.

TAWERA NIKAU'S STORY - Quality

"I grow with Corson Maize because of the quality, resilience and yield of their hybrids, backed by a great team"

The role that he and fellow trustees have been entrusted with is kaitiakitanga, which is about guardianship and leaving the land in a better place. Tawera saw the benefits in partnering with a business like Corson Maize to provide expertise, direction and the key ingredient - maize, to not only provide the revenue to allow the trust to reinvest in the land, but crop advice to enhance the soil profile of the farm. Join Tawera and many others in going for maize hybrid quality.
